You can literally watch whales from your bed in season. Each year from the month of July to the end of November, gentle giants of the deep glide into the bay, allowing us humans to marvel at their magnitude. Walker Bay is the breeding ground of the Southern Right Whale, returning each year to meet with the same mate, to produce, and then 3 years later, spawn the off-spring of their labour, each one heralded on arrival by the Whale Crier - the only one in the world. Car rental airport transfers, local transport and day trips can be arranged. On The Cliff Guest House is designed to provide guests with an unique environment where you can relax and indulge in the luxury of our guest house. The cliff paths take you from our front entrance to town or the new harbour both about 10mins or 1km. Each of our luxury sea facing suites offers expansive views of Walker Bay from the comfort of the guesthouse. All rooms are en suite with king-size beds, private balconies or patios, luxury fitting and have panoramic sea views. Sauna, Putting green, Pub with cosy fireplace and TV, Heated salt pool, Gym, plus Braai/Barbeque facilities We have Guest lounges with fireplace for relaxation. The cliff path wanders past our front gate from the old harbour on its way to the new harbour. Secure parking is at the rear of the house. For entertainment you can take horse rides on the white, sandy beach stretching for about 20km, swim or surf in the sea, visit our local vineyards or go walking in the mountains. Whale watching or viewing boats leave regularily from our harbour (1km) and shark cage diving (best in our Winter)is available about 40mins drive. It is advisable to prebook. There are several excellent golf courses which we can prebook for you including Arabella. Kayaking in the sea or lagoon, paragliding from the hills just behind us, sun tanning around the pool it is up to you.
