Villa Cap d` Azur Click on a photo to enlarge it. Description: Villa Cap d' Azur is a self catering villa located in Houtbay, Cape Town, offering superior accomodation for six adults. The villa is built on three levels. The first level includes the entrance hall, dining room, kitchen, bedroom and bathroom suite. The lounge is at a mezzanine level leading from the dining area; the main en-suite bedroom and a third bedroom are on a further mezzanine level. The front door leads into a spacious entrance hall.leads off this, as does access to the three bedrooms - "Driftwood", "Lighthouse" and "Starfish" - and the bathrooms and guest cloakroom. "Driftwood" and "Lighthouse" are located down a short flight of stairs. Kitchen equipment includes a stove with ceramic hob and extractor, a conventional oven, a microwave oven, a refrigerator, a dishwasher, a washing machine, a tumble drier. An electric kettle, toaster and the usual cooking utensils are provided. The kitchen is separated from the dining area by a spacious serving counter. The kitchen door leads to a sheltered, enclosed courtyard with herb garden and lemon tree. The dining room table seats 6 people. Sliding doors lead onto a small courtyard on the one side whilst the other view overlooks the lounge and a view of the pool and bay. The lounge is attractively furnished with two comfortable couches and two chairs. There is a gas fireplace, A compact disc player and DVD and television set with satellite linkage, are provided. There are two sets of sliding doors from the lounge allowing for a natural flow from indoors to a sheltered patio and pooldeck. #Patio and Pooldeck: The patio is well suited for long outdoor lunches and evening barbecues while watching the activities on the bay, and has patio furniture, a built-in gas barbecue and awnings to provide shade when required. The patio leads onto the pooldeck. The swimming pool and deck are positioned to capture the sun for most of the day. Views from the deck encompass 360 degrees of sea, coastline and mountains. In season, whales and dolphin can be seen in the bay. # Driftwood Bedroom: Two single beds are provided and are usually combined as a double bed. The room is bright and spacious and overlooks the garden and sea view. Sliding doors provide access to the garden and pool area. The en suite bathroom looks onto a small private alcove. There is a bath with hand-shower, separate shower and toilet. # Lighthouse Bedroom: The main feature of "Lighthouse" is the view. The bedroom is furnished with a queen sized double bed and sliding doors allow access to the garden and pool area. # Starfish Bedroom: The bedroom has sliding doors which lead onto a private, sheltered courtyard. There are two single beds, usually combined as a double bed. # Starfish Bathroom: The bathroom overlooks the sheltered courtyard. There is a bath with hand-shower and toilet. The guest cloakroom has a toilet and hand - basin. The "formal" garden includes an enclosed, kitchen courtyard; a shady, paved patio; and a sun-deck. The greater part of the garden is steeply sloping away from the house and has been kept in a natural state, being covered in trees and shrubs. There is a double garage with automatic doors and a separate entrance to the house directly from the garage. Bedding, linen and towels are provided. The kitchen and diningroom are equipped with crockery, cooking utensils, glasses and cutlery. There is a selection of compact discs and books. The servicing of the villa depends on the duration of the visit. For stays longer than a week, servicing is weekly. Arrangements can be made for more frequent servicing if required. The garden is serviced weekly but more frequent access is required for watering and pool cleaning at agreed times. Patio furniture, a picnic set and beach towels are provided. There is good security in the neighbourhood. The house is equipped with a small safe and burglar alarm system for additional comfort. It is recommended that guests rent a car for their stay at Villa Cap d'Azur so that the many attractions of the area may be fully explored.
