Downstairs the dining room opens towards the sea and serves a filling breakfast of coffee and orange juice, cereals, sausage, omelette, egg, in generous portions to keep you going during your day of site seeing. Whale watching is a popular pastime in South Africa and few places offer a better opportunity than Kalk Bay. Prime whale watching season goes right through from June until November, although whales can be seen at any time of the year.
