Description: Gowan Valley guest farm offers the ultimate in old-fashioned hospitality in the Natal Midlands near Michaelhouse and other Natal private schools. Our thatched guest house accommodation in the Natal Midlands boasts 6 beautifully furnished guest rooms, each with a splendour of their own. We have the following accommodation available: Room 1 is a double with ensuite bath. Room 2 is a twin with ensuite shower. Room 3 is a double with ensuite bath. (The Lavender Room). Room 4 is a double room with ensuite shower. Room 5 is twin bedded with ensuite bath. (These two rooms form an ideal family suite if desired). Room 6 is our largest with a double bed and single and a sofabed with plenty of room for another single if required. It has an ensuite bathroom with bath and shower. The comfortable farmhouse guest rooms are made even cosier with their heaters, hot water bottles and tea and coffee making facilities. Enjoy the guest lounge with a TV (we have DSTV) and fire place. TV's can be provided in rooms on request. Picnic lunch baskets can be made up on request for those who want to spend the day out. Meander down into the valley of peace and quiet, where you can relax and unwind in our picturesque setting. The guest farm is a place where you can enjoy the pleasure of being really well cared for in a quiet haven of leisure and comfort... at reasonable rates. After a sumptious guest farm breakfast, you can amble through our indigenous forest of ancient yellowood trees enjoying the serenity of the natural habitat of a variety of birds and wildlife, or simply relax with the tranquility of our stretch of river frontage. In the evening relax in front of a crackling log fire and retire with just the sound of the nearby river to serenade you. Home-cooked evening meals are available on request. Children are most welcome at the guest farm and are able to enjoy viewing the horses, cattle, pigs, chickens etc. on our working farm. Perhaps you would love to get away from it all for a few days and take time to 'smell the roses', or perhaps you are a business traveller needing a relaxed home from home atmosphere in the Natal Midlands. You will find a warm welcome, good food, and clean, warm and comfy rooms with their 'small little touches', and best of all you are almost guaranteed to feel well rested in the morning!!
