Description: Set in the historical little town of Waterval Boven, this cosy Lodge is self contained and fully self catering, with a well equipped and spotless communal kitchen and a beautiful lapa with braai areas. After sunset you can relax in the spacious TV Lounge and Tex bar with an old fashioned fire place for the cooler evenings. For those not keen on trout fishing, there is our pool and garden to relax in, or go on a steam train ride or visit several places of interest. The Lodge, which was the original hotel in Waterval Boven, offers nine rooms with 35 beds. To further enhance the facilities at Boven Trout Lodge, Jan and Minnie established a fly shop on the same premises. The Boven Trout Lodge and the Elands River Fly Shop are an integral part of the facilities offered by the Boven Fly Fishing Association. Waterval Boven lies amidst one of the best fly fishing areas, with Machadodorp, Belfast and Lydenburg within easy reach from the Lodge.
