Description: The cottage is situated in a large apricot orchard with lovely views of the surrounding mountains and within easy walking distance of the village. The cottage is fully equipped with microwave, fridge, hotplate plus the usual crockery, cutlery, cooking pots etc.( however, if you prefer, there are some very good restaurants close by within comfortable walking distance in safe surroundings ). Upstairs there are 4 beds and downstairs the futon converts into a double bed. Toilet facilities are available both up and downstairs. All linen is provided except for swimming towels. No TV - there is a radio, electric heaters, fans and a fireplace. Braai facilities are available. Montagu has lots to offer the visitor besides it?s fantastic scenery and weather in the way of museums, arts and craft studios and the hot Mineral Springs are about 2km out of town. Also there are walks and hikes catering for all levels of fitness and excellent wine estates in the surrounding area to visit. We have a couple of mountain bikes which you are welcome to use. We have the use of a swimming pool next door and there are the hot springs about a kilometre away. There is also the famous tractor ride up into the Langeberg mountains ? 2 trips on a Saturday and one on Wednesday; if you would like a booking please let me know well in advance ? price is R45.00 ea. for adults and R20.00 for children (they also serve a delicious potjie for lunch in the forest at the foot of the mountain for which an additional charge is made). Price Info: The price is R250.00 for the cottage per couple per night, plus R50 per night per additional adult and R20 per child under 12 yrs.
