Maputaland Guest House the longest trading guest house in St. Lucia. Sleeping fourteen people and access to a private pool it is a travelers haven.

Wake up with bird songs while an outstanding breakfast served. Tea an Coffee making facilities in all the rooms. The garden attracts incredible bird life and at night one can watch the bush babies and chameleons. There are braai facilities for all to use or we can serve dinner by early arrangement. With a good knowledge of the area and surroundings, we will help you plan the rest of your journey.

Pool Area :
A Nice refreshing splash in the pool after a long day in the sun, or laze around the pool and relax in this beautiful garden setting while
you are entertained by bird songs.

The TV / lounge area is open to all the guest to sit and relax or plan the next day's trip.

Family Room :
A double bed with one single bed and balcony for a small family to share.

The comfortable double rooms has ensuite bathrooms and Coffee and Tea making facilities. Walk out of the bedroom into the
garden and pool area.

The breakfast area will make you feel like home away from home.

St. Lucia's golden, wide open beaches are a sun seekers paradise.
The destructive nature of shark nets and the proximity of the St. Lucia beaches to the Turtle breeding grounds and the dolphin and whale migrating routes they are absent from these pristine coastal waters.

The golden beaches are lined with the majestically vegetated sand dunes on the western boarder. Weather is subtropical with summer evening rainfall and warm and sunny winter days with an average water temperature above 21 Celsius all year round.

The warm Mosambique current is close to the coast line of St. Lucia presenting great fishing opportunities from this resort.
Game Fishing is all year round with different species to be caught
according to seasons.

Marlin and Sailfish: Spring and summer from October to January / February.

Queen Mackerel (Natal Snoek): Autumn and Winter from March trough to August.

Dorado: Cuda (King Mackerel) and Wahoo. Summer and Autumn from November to end of April.

Geelbek: End of winter early Spring.

Tuna: All year round in Mazambique current.

Bottom Fish: All year round from South of Mapelane to south of the Marine Reserve.

Fly Fishing: Jeff will take you deep sea, estuary fly fishing or the ultimate
challenge for any fly fisher, the surf zone. All the surf zone fishing
is done at Cape Vidal. We have a beach driving concession
which allows us to travel for 20 km on the Cape Vidal beaches.
Daily trips for two persons at R300 p.p or groups, where the
price is negotiable depending on the number of people. Price
includes 10 seater 4x4, gate fees, equipment if needed and
most importantly, an experienced guide. For deep sea and
estuary fly fishing, price on request.
