Tendele is named for the Guinea Fowl that abound in the area. Overlooking Island Lake you can watch the yachts sailing around the island, the colourful sails painting pretty pictures. Sunrise creates stunning views of Island Lake, every morning is different. Gentle mists rising or the clouds painted a brilliant red as the sun rises. The only sound to wake you is bird song. Enjoy the peace and tranquillity while relaxing in the well appointed rooms. The setting sun highlights the mountains and invites you to take a break with sundowners on the deck or just putting your feet up on your private balcony. Our bird list is over 70 species long as seen from the house and in the garden. The call of the Fish Eagle is often heard or seen perched near the Serpentine. Loeries come and feed in the Milkwoods or off the feeding tray often so close that you don't need binoculars to see their spectacular painted faces. The Malachite Kingfisher takes all the fish from the water feature. With easy access to the N2, you are centrally situated to enjoy all the wonders of the Garden Route. Rather than packing and unpacking settle in for a longer stay and do day trips, we can advise you or even take you on a guided trip. If the weather is bad go over the mountain to Oudshoorn, explore the caves or do the scenic drives over one of the numerous mountain passes. Our spectacular beaches are within easy reach if sun and sand is your desire and we have the knowledge to send you to special beaches known to the locals. Hidden in the garden is our splash pool. Perhaps you need a refreshing dip to cool off after a long drive or just relaxing with all the jets massaging your muscles. A meditation bench is hidden in the garden if you need to get away from the maddening crowd. You can enjoy a Swedish massage under the Milkwoods.
